A great review in today's IHT on Robert Longo retrospective in Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice, which I really enjoyed this summer. 100 works selected by independant curator Caroline Smulders.
"The Magellan project" a series of 366 drawings that Longo did in 1996, one drawing a day, his combines (drawing, serigraphy, and painting on relief-like assemblages of wood, aluminium and plexiglas), the free-standing sculptures (the "Charred") all are reviewed and presented.
A Must see exhibition if you go to the French Riviera.
